A full day of work and nothing to show for it. For now—that
is. Sometimes it’s hard to keep one foot in front of the other when you feel
like you’re not going anywhere.
Anything worth doing is going to be hard. If it were easy
everyone would do it. The satisfaction at the end of the day has to come
within. Reward yourself with the little accomplishments. You know the ones you do,
and no one sees you do.
One of my favorite books as a child is, “The Little Engine
that Could.” I try to tell myself every day, “I think I can, I think I can.” Even
when the odds are against me. Why? Because you only get this one life. Might as
well do what you love even when you don’t receive instant gratification.
