Most of us may not understand what true sacrifice is. I know
I don’t. I’ve lived in an era that has constantly provided. Never once
until now have I worried about how much food was in my pantry. Didn’t even
think twice about wasting paper products to some degree. I recycle for gosh
sake—that is enough right?
But here we are faced with a worldwide pandemic. Well to be
honest I wake each morning thanking God more than ever for my roof over my
head. Thanking him for each day that I get to spend with my family. This is not
sacrifice. This is a blessing.
I solute those in the medical field, essential personnel,
grocery stores employee’s, and many others who are now faced with something
that most of us have never lived through. And I know you are now making the
ultimate sacrifice for all of us. I solute our elderly who are now lonelier
than ever waiting for the day that we can come hug them and give them the love
they so deserve. Their past sacrifices have given us what we have today. People
are now having to die alone being quarantined from their family.
So, when staying at home feels likes too much sacrifice,
really is it?
