Just Breathe

 

Standing at the shore with saltwater air blowing through my hair and fingertips. Swaying like a pendulum clock. Toes submerged in the cold sand letting time drift away from you. As the tide subsides with the morning light gently warming your soul.

 

The gratitude one must feel for such beauty. Waves that pound with force, it is a melody of surrender. A calling of peace to tame the heart. As moments slip by and the day changes minute by minute…your renewed body can return to the battlefield of life.

THE INN

  Every summer, I slid side to side as Dad swerved around each switchback, the red and black vinyl seats sticking to my bare legs. Wind whip...
